An AI chatbot
A chat assistant on the OpenAI API that remembers the conversation and stays on topic.
A RAG app
Ask questions of your own PDFs and notes, and get answers that point to where they came from.
An AI agent
An agent that breaks a task into steps and calls tools, such as a search, a calculator or an API, to finish it.
An automation workflow
An n8n-style workflow in which an LLM reads incoming messages, sorts them and drafts the replies.
Projects: all four are live projects you build in class, with a trainer in the room.

Eleven modules, from LLM basics to deployment. Every module is taught in class with hands-on exercises, and the four live projects run alongside the modules.
Module 1: Generative AI and LLM foundationsWhat large language models are, what they are good at, and where they go wrong.

Module 3: ChatGPT and the OpenAI APICalling a language model from your own Python code.
- API keys, and keeping them out of your code
- Sending chat messages and reading the replies

- Counting tokens and controlling cost
- Handling errors and rate limits
Module 4: Building NLP chatbotsFrom a single prompt to a chatbot that remembers the conversation.
- Conversation history and memory
- Keeping a bot on topic with instructions and limits

- A simple chat interface for your bot
Module 5: Embeddings and vector databasesTurning text into numbers so that a program can search by meaning.

What will I learn in the Generative AI & AI Agents course?

How long is the course?
3 months or 6 months, like our other courses, in weekday or Saturday batches. Both cover the same syllabus; the 6-month option goes slower and deeper. Batches run all year round.

Do I need to know Python or coding before I join?
Basic Python helps. If you have never coded, tell us on the free demo class and we will suggest where to start, or begin with our AI & Machine Learning course, which starts from Python.
Do I have to pay for OpenAI or other AI tools?
You do not need to buy any AI subscription before you join. In class we use free and open-source options where we can, and show you how paid APIs such as OpenAI's work and what they cost, so you can decide for your own projects. Bring your own laptop.
How is this different from the AI & Machine Learning course?
The AI & Machine Learning course covers Python, machine learning, deep learning and NLP, with AI tools such as ChatGPT and the OpenAI API as one part of it. This course is about building applications on large language models: prompts, RAG, agents and automation.
Is the course taught in person?
Yes, in our classroom at Vista Tower, Sector 75, Mohali, in weekday and Saturday batches. If you need an online or hybrid option, contact us to ask what is currently available.
Will I get a certificate?
